Moving a shed can be dangerous if not done properly, we recommend that you do not try to move one yourself. Jacking, winching and loading/unloading sheds causes shifting of extreme weights and flexing of the building that can damage the runners, floor joists, permanently rack a building out of square and even cause bodily injury if it should shift off of the trailer or jack.
This page was designed to explain the types of moves we do as well as the other setup services we offer.
This is the most common type of delivery and move we offer. This method requires backing a specialized shed delivery trailer to the end of the building and winching the building onto the trailer. Most premanufactured portable buildings are built so that the 4X4 runners are spaced at 6 feet (72 inches) or less outside to outside of the delivery runners so they will fit into the tracks of the trailer. If you have a building that does not fall into this industry standard spacing we can accomodate your move by adding runners to your building that fit the spacing. Keep in mind that the trailer adds 30 inches to the overall height of the building when it is loaded.
The Trailered method requires access directly to the drop off location with truck and trailer. Be aware that low hanging tree branches can damage shingles, drip edge, break window glass and crack siding so they should be trimmed to allow access. Fences may need to be removed to gain access. The general rule is that you need at least 12 inches more clearance than the width of the building if the opening is flat and level. (10 foot wide building would need 11 foot opening)
This is often done when a shed is moved across the yard or must be manuvered into tight spaces that the truck and trailer can not access. Many times there may be a combination of manual/trailer to move a building into position or pull it out of a location.
This method is labor intensive and requires heavy duty rollers, gas and hydraulic powered winches, and sometimes even heavy equipment to manuver into place.
Sometimes there just isn't a safe way to access the site or the site may be elevated on a platform or deck requiring a lift to be performed to set your gazebo in place. We have set several gazebos onto docks, custom built decks, elevated platforms, rock foundations, and even across a large flowing creek bank to satisfy a customers wishes for that perfect getaway spot.
We offer other services to help streamline your delivery process.
